Duchess is very calm and accepting. Standing 13-3hh. Below is a photo of her as foal -f 2004 (Glantraeth King Flyer (imp) X Waimarie Ceridwen) showing lovely hock action- Several times through the years we have seen her show huge extension in front.
Ballytruckle Duchess at 4 mo
Backed in March 2010 Duchess is taking to being ridden like a duck to water. She has a fantastic temperament.
Her 3rd time off the farm in Sept 2010 she went to a local Pony Club ribbon day- we came home with 2 fourth placings- one being Movement and manners in classes of over 20! .
May 2011- Duchess is going from strength to strength- she is so delightful. I am having so much fun with my chunky little mare. Below she is at a dressage competition in winter 2011, she scored a 9 for one of her trots.
In january 2012 Duchess went to Pony Club with 13 yo Niamh- she did all the work on the flat, she had never had anyone doing sitting trot on her before, she thought she was supposed to walk.... anyhow here is a photo showing you how they looked together. Sorry its so small- its off my old old phone.
