Ballytruckle Shamrock is a 147cm 5yo 50% Welsh cob x 50% Tb, being by Millcreek Valiant and out of tb mare Star by Indian Ore.

Her first dressage competition at Woodhill Sands on 14th October 2007 was in the midst of a howling gale. She was completely unfazed by the wind and atmosphere of a large event on the sand arenas at Woodhill Sands. On her first ever foray into an arena she had a good look at the plastic white sides of the arena but Samantha Winn rode her with such skill and tact that the duo finished a creditable 7th place. An hour later she was so relaxed despite the howling gale she came first in the Tb Floats Challenge Series Test 1.6. It was so windy my coffee was blown over during a particularly strong gust.

At the Thoroughbred Floats Challenge Series ribbon presentation she was the only horse to wear her rug with which she was presented, much to the delight of the sponsors.
