Steve unbeaten in the Bay of Islands

Steve rode B. Sally Gap to four wins at the Bay of Islands A&P Showhunter Lowhunter classes on the 13th November 2011. It was Steves first time competing in registered Showhunter and Sallys second time in the registered hack ring.

He came away with a great big grin and many ideas about what he will do next with his awesome Welsh cob X tb mare.

Sallys winning ways

We competed Ballytruckle Sally Gap (Welsh cob X tb) {Mill Creek Valiant X Star [Indian Ore]} at her first registered Showhunter Hack classes, she won three first places and a second from 2 judges over 2 days of four Low Hunter classes at the Northland 2* Showjumping/Showhunter Show in Oct 2011. She was ridden very beautifully by 13yo Katherine Martin.

Rafferty's on the payroll

We have just started under saddle B. Rafferty, (Mill Creek Valiant X Redeemable) a five year old 15-2hh Welsh cob X tb. He is such a gentleman, he is so intelligent, very quick to learn. Steve is having a great time with Rafferty.

Rugby World Cup

The West Clan went to the Wales vs Fiji game and supported the Welsh team who had an awesome game!

Black filly born

Ballytruckle Kaleidoscope arrived on a wet muddy morning Monday 26 September 2011. She is by Cwmkaren Beaufort Express (impAUS) and out of Ballytruckle Alexander Rose.

Snow at the Ararimu Alps

Sophie Arnoux made this snow pony from snow that landed at her property in Taranaki on Monday 15th Aug 2011. Its so lifelike!

My kids Conor and Niamh were excited to hear about the snow that landed here at midday on Monday 15th August 2011, of course they were at school and no snow landed there.

Fun for all the family

Intermediate Schools Ribbon Day

Niamh rode her 12-2hh Welsh partbred pony Serenity Sam in the junior ring at the Intermediate Schools Ribbon Day hosted by Clevedon Pony Club. The grounds and facilities at Clevedon are simply wonderful and a hot dry day resulted in a nice day for her and Serenity.
