Lynette Jackson rode Ballytruckle Riley in 2 rounds to come second place at the North Island Showhunter Championships 1.10m Championship class held at Woodhill Sands in February 2013. The pair were second to professional rider Phillip Steiner on Tequila Sunrise. We are so proud of Riley and are thrilled with how Lynette has made him into such an enjoyable ride. He is our schoolmaster now.

On the same weekend Waitemata Showhunter did an outstanding job building a Derby course which was great fun to ride and watch. Lynette chose not to enter the Derby cos she wanted to concentrate on the Championship classes. Conor however saw the cool jumps and was itching to ride over the course. He made a fatal error going too fast at one point when a gallop was asked for and missed the next jump.... lesson learned, maybe better luck next year. Hope they hold it before University starts, eh?
Here are some photos of Conor and Sally Gap jumping the seriously inviting fences.
